Maisey’s Bakery – Logo & Branding, Website Design

Established in 1885, Maisey’s Bakery is a much-loved family bakery based in Highbridge, Somerset. Renowned for its traditional baking methods, quality ingredients and friendly service, the bakery has become a familiar name across the local community.

Some projects are particularly special, and Maisey’s Bakery is certainly one of them. Our Creative Director, Mel Downing, grew up locally. Maisey’s was always a family favourite, with a weekly visit for cakes becoming something of a tradition. So when they contacted us to discuss creating a new brand identity for the bakery, it was an opportunity we were genuinely excited to be part of.

The project began with the development of a new logo, exploring a range of concepts that balanced the bakery’s rich heritage with a fresh, modern identity. After presenting several creative directions, the final logo was chosen because it echoed one used during the bakery’s early years, bringing a sense of nostalgia while giving the business a cleaner, more versatile identity for the future.

Following the successful rebrand, we continued to support Maisey’s across a wide range of marketing and promotional materials. Our work has included business cards, price lists, packaging labels, vehicle graphics and other branded collateral, ensuring every customer touchpoint reflects the same traditional values and welcoming personality that have made the bakery so well known throughout Somerset.

As the business evolved, we were also asked to redesign the Maisey’s website, transforming it into a modern, fully responsive experience that better showcases the bakery, its products and its long-standing reputation. The updated website provides customers with an improved browsing experience while maintaining the warmth and authenticity that people associate with the Maisey’s name.

Working with Maisey’s Bakery has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Helping to refresh the identity of a business that has been part of the local community for well over a century, and one that we have personally admired for many years, has made this one of our most memorable projects. We’re proud to continue supporting Maisey’s as it combines traditional craftsmanship with the next chapter of its story.
